Open source software for discrete event simulation
The project OpenSIMPLY is an open source software for computer simulation and modeling based on discrete event simulation
approach (DES). Source code of the project is compatible with the syntax of Object Pascal compilers such as Delphi and Free Pascal including Lazarus as an open source IDE.
The kernel of OpenSIMPLY uses minimum system specific components, and requires terminal (console) mode only. The upper layers of the project uses GUI features, which functionality can be varied for different operation systems and platforms.

When using OpenSIMPLY with Delphi Starter, some limitation of graphical features (like chart features) in OpenSIMPLY demos or examples can take place because of Delphi Starter features.
The components of OpenSIMPLY are flexible and expandable for any purposes of system simulation. The project can be successfully used as a scientific modeling software. The execution of simulation model with OpenSIMPLY is quite fast to receive a number of simulation points in a short time. This advantage of the the project can be used for real time simulation (for example industrial simulation).
OpenSIMPLY has automatically formatted output for console and GUI (graphical application) modes. The routines for results outputting are flexibly configurable for individual and structured data in suitable form as for GUI as well as for console mode. This is helps to organize data output saving for a great number of scientific research results.
OpenSIMPLY tutorial contains practical examples with detailed description. All of them are ready to compile.
The project documentation is available in different formats and compatible with any IDE.
